В знаменитой сцене, когда герой Жуве приходит в прачечную родителей героини Дарсей, противящихся сценическому призванию дочери, чтобы высказать им все, что накопилось у него на душе, он, похоже, говорит от лица не только своего персонажа, но и от своего собственного. Ее хитрости, детские уловки и неподдельная грусть переворачивают дом с ног на голову. Покой вернется с появлением бравого доктора, влюбленного в Эдит, который играет в альтруиста и излечивает все разбитые сердца, за исключением своего.► То, что Марк Аллегре в той или иной степени упустил в Служебном входе, Entrée des artistes, увлекшись почти документальной реконструкцией мира студентов театрального училища, прекрасно удается ему в этой картине. Все действие – невероятно запутанный клубок чувств между 7–8 молодыми людьми, описанными эмоционально и с юмором, в жестоком и нежном стиле, подражающем Мюссе, но на сей раз достойном оригинала. Актерская игра превосходна: Марк Аллегре раскрывает каждого актера, и все играют талантливо. Как и многие другие, Жерар Филип и Даниэль Делорм в его фильме впервые появляются на экране в сколько-нибудь значительных ролях.
